The Roman Abramovich era at Chelsea is over following the announcement that the consortium led by Todd Boehly will be allowed to buy the club. Chelsea enjoyed unprecedented success with Abramovich at the helm, but which of the 13 managers he employed fared best and worst?
The most illustrious and successful of those 13 in terms of pure numbers of trophies is Jose Mourinho. But somewhat surprisingly, teh Portuguese tactician does not come out on top when compared to the other 12 by their points per game.
Mourinho does make the top two, though, and is followed by two more Chelsea bosses who won Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge. The most recent incumbent, Thomas Tuchel, comes just a bit lower than those three league champion managers in sixth.
Tuchel's record marks a serious upturn in fortunes from his predecessor Frank Lampard, who does not fare well at all here. In fairness, Lampard did have to contend with a transfer ban, but his legend will live on at the Bridge more for his achievements on the pitch in his playing pomp than off it as a manager.
How do all 13 permanent head coaches appointed by Abramovich compare, though? We've had a look at their records in the Premier League for the Blues and worked out their average points per game based on those results.
Here's how each Chelsea manager of the Abramovich ranks. Where tied on points per game, we have ranked them by their win rate. You might be surprised by a few of the positions…

for me... avram grant doesnt deserve position one ...Mourinho brought chelsea from nothing to a top competitive club...and so he deserves that position one honour
I do always find it difficult to agree with people that Mourinho brought Chelsea from nothing to top, as a matter of fact, Chelsea's money 💰 under Roman Abrahimovic is what brought Chelsea to the top not Mourinho. Mourinho is a good coach but other good coach with the same resource Mourinho had at Chelsea would do the same thing he did or even do it better. if Mourinho is what made Chelsea what they are, Sunderland is in need of pl football, he should go bring them to pl with little or no resource. Chelsea made them selves who they are, not Mourinho.

Yes, Jose Mourinho is # 1, follow up by Antonio Conte in the top two, then Tochel, Grant and Di Matteo who give us our first champions league are all the top five.

AF choose base on winning rate. it's nothing to show who's the best manager in Roman era. Mourinho and Conte are best manager for Chelsea so far.
