Record attendance in Italy for women's match between Juventus and Fiorentina

Juventus Women beat Fiorentina Women 1-0 in their first ever match played at the Allianz Stadium in front of 39,000 supporters.

Many Juventus fans took advantage of the international break to cheer on the side, with the Bianconeri making tickets free for the match.

The 39,000 attendance is a record for women's football in Italy, smashing the previous record of 14,000.

There were reportedly only 121 Fiorentina supporters who made the trip from Florence, so it was an incredible turnout from those in Turin.

Last weekend, a crowd of 60,739 watched Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano - a record for a top-flight domestic women's game in Europe.
