Roma are reportedly lining up a loan swap deal between Edin Dzeko and Inter Milan's Alexis Sanchez with the Bosnian's future in the Italian captial looking doubtful.
Dzeko fell out with his manager Paulo Fonseca following a disagreement between the pair after Roma's Coppa Italia defeat against Spezia on January 19, and is now being heavily linked with a move away in this transfer window.
The former Manchester City forward is said to be training alone as he look to secure a move away from the Serie A outfit, with West Ham and Everton among the clubs to be linked with a deal.
But according to Sky Sport Italia, he could be heading to their domestic rivals Inter Milan, with Roma interested in taking former Manchester United flop the other way in swap deal until the end of the season.
Inter are interested in working with Roma on the deal, the report adds, but it remains complicated due to both players' salaries and a potential loan fee.
Sanchez has started ten games in all competitions under Inter boss Antonio Conte since signing on a permanent deal from Manchester United last summer.
He has played 19 times in total, scoring just twice and is still struggling to produce his best form in Italy.
Dzeko had been a key member of Fonseca's squad this season, scoring eight goals in 20 games, but hasn't played since a 3-0 loss to rivals Lazio, and played no part in their 3-0 cup defeat against Spezia or their 4-3 win against them in the league four days later.
Reports have claimed the pair are divided on the departure of team manager Gianluca Gombat, with the striker being left out of both Spezia games after confronting his boss.
'I understand the curiosity you have, but I don't want to say anything else,' Fonseca said, when asked to comment on Dzeko's position at the club after the 4-3 win on Saturday.
'I don't want to say anything more. The important thing is what we did here today, a great victory for the team.'

Dzeko is Old but Gold. He is still a better Striker than Lukaku, Zlatan, Cornelius, Zaza, Belotti, etc in Finishing, Heading, Winning Aerials, Dribbling and Strength.
