Roma coach Jose Mourinho has resigned from UEFA's Football Board.
Mourinho has made the decision after he received a four-match UEFA ban after clashing with ref Anthony Taylor in the stadium carpark after Roma's Europa League final defeat to Sevilla.
The UEFA Football Board was created last April that brings together coaches and former players to discuss ideas to improve the game. In addition to the Portuguese, figures such as Rafa Benítez, Ronald Koeman, Roberto Martínez, Patrick Vieira, Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane are involved.
Mourinho wrote to UEFA director Zvonimir Boban: "I regret to report that, with immediate effect, I renounce my participation in this group. The principles I fully believed in when I joined the group no longer exist and I feel compelled to make this decision.
"I kindly ask you to also communicate my decision to the President, Mr Aleksander Ceferin."
