Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Juventus for pre-season training amidst rumours he could leave Turin this summer, with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain mooted as possible destinations.

The 36-year-old was given extra time off to recuperate after reaching the last-16 with Portugal at Euro 2020.

Ronaldo's future has been the subject of intense speculation due to the fact he has entered the final year of his contract and has yet to agree an extension.

Other Juve players who returned to training on Monday following Euro 2020 commitments include Holland star Matthijs de Ligt, France midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Sweden's Dejan Kulusevski.

However, it was Ronaldo who the fans wanted to see and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures outside Juve's training base.

The Portuguese star has been linked with moves to some of European football's elite clubs this summer, including a return to Manchester United and a possible move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

However Juve have been quick to dismiss the prospect of selling Ronaldo as they prepare to improve on last season's disappointing fourth placed finish under new boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Ronaldo has scored 101 goals in 133 appearances for the Bianconeri since joining the club from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018.

The Portugal star has enjoyed a successful spell with Juve; winning two Serie A titles and a Coppa Italia during his three seasons in Turin.
