Sassuolo wants to sign Maldini, but the deal can only be completed after Atalanta reaches a financial agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Alajbegovic's transfer.
Sassuolo is interested in acquiring Maldini. The Italian football club views the son of the new technical director of the Italian Football Federation as an ideal candidate to strengthen their attacking line. However, before the deal can be finalized, they need Atalanta's consent, which can only happen after the Nerazzurri reach a final agreement with Bayer Leverkusen regarding Alajbegovic's transfer.
Atalanta is interested in bringing in Alajbegovic. The player's father and agent traveled to Bergamo last week to meet with the Nerazzurri management, partly due to his good relationship with sporting director Giuntoli (who had previously hoped to bring the Bosnian talent to Juventus's youth ranks). Alajbegovic has already agreed to join Atalanta, and Atalanta is currently negotiating with Bayer Leverkusen to lower the Bundesliga club's €30 million asking price for Alajbegovic.
