Serie A will resume from June 20, but the precise dates will be decided tomorrow, probably starting with outstanding Week 25 games, with an aim to conclude by August 2.

Minister for Sport Vincenzo Spadafora confirmed today that the Serie A and B seasons will resume from June 20, although the Coppa Italia semi-finals and Final should run from June 13-17.

The Lega Serie A will meet to set the fixture list on Friday and Sky Sport Italia suggest they’ll begin with the outstanding Week 25 matches, which were postponed when the coronavirus pandemic was still localised in a few northern regions.

Those fixtures are: Atalanta-Sassuolo, Verona-Cagliari, Inter-Sampdoria and Torino-Parma.

After that, in theory the plan would be to start the Week 27 games in a midweek round, June 23-24, including Atalanta-Lazio.

Week 28 would be on June 27-28, Week 29 on June 30-July 1, Week 30 on July 4-5, Week 31 on July 7-8, Week 32 on July 11-12, Week 33 on July 14-15, Week 34 on July 18-19, Week 35 on July 21-22, Week 36 on July 25-26, Week 37 on July 28-29 and the final round on August 1-2.

This would meet the UEFA deadline and allow Juventus, Napoli, Atalanta, Inter and Roma to take part in the Champions and Europa League from August 4.
