Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for three clubs in Serie A.
On Friday, it was widely claimed that the Brazilian had informed Jurgen Klopp that he would be departing Anfield at the end of the season.
Firmino is in the last six months of his contract, although it had been expected that he would remain on Merseyside until yesterday's alleged developments.
The 31-year-old is said to be ready to take on a new challenge having made 353 appearances and won six pieces of silverware since his arrival in 2015.
During that time, Firmino has contributed 107 goals and 73 assists, a return which will inevitably lead to widespread interest in his signature.
As it stands, it is unclear whether Firmino has a specific club or country in mind for the next phase of his career, yet it appears that he will have the opportunity to move to Italy.
According to Football Italia, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus are all keen to hold discussions with Firmino over the coming weeks and months.
The report suggests that AC Milan may show the most interest as they look to find an alternative for Divock Origi, a former Liverpool teammate of Firmino who has barely featured this campaign.
I Rossoneri also have doubts over whether they will retain the services of Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud, the former attracting big-money interest from elsewhere and the latter being out of contract at the end of June.
Meanwhile, Inter may require a replacement for Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku, who is not certain to remain on loan at San Siro for a second campaign.
Juventus could be attracted to signing at least one free agent this summer as a result of their early exit from the Champions League and having been handed a 15-point penalty in Serie A due to breaches of financial regulations.
Atletico Madrid have also been credit as admirers of Firmino, their group-stage exit from the Champions League potentially hindering their efforts in the transfer market later this year.
Firmino remains an important part of Klopp's squad for the rest of the season and has recently made five substitute outings since recovering from injury.
