Atletico Madrid played on Saturday, defeating Rayo Vallecano 1-0, and on Sunday their coach Diego Simeone was in Italy to see his son Giovanni take on Chievo with his Fiorentina side.
It was a special trip for the Argentine, as his son scored the final goal in his side's 6-1 victory.
Simeone and his partner Carla Pereyra also paid a visit to Pisa, the city where he played in the 1990/91 season, beginning his long career in European football.
"Tracing the steps of my history, what great memories," the coach wrote on social media alongside a photo taken at the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Simeone will now turn his attention to an away game against Celta Vigo as he returns to Madrid.
