Sunderland eye January move for unwanted AC Milan striker

The 24-year-old has struggled since joining AC Milan from Dutch giants Feyenoord, scoring just seven goals in his 30 games across all competitions.

Several reports from Italy are suggesting that Max Allegri’s side have given up on Gimenez and would be willing to let him leave in January.

According to La Repubblica, Premier League highflyers Sunderland are looking like the most likely destination.

It’s understood that Sunderland would be looking to sign the Mexico international on loan with an obligation to buy for around £26 million in the summer.
