Surprising stats regarding Politano & De Vrij from Cagliari game

  /  Cai

Matteo Politano scored the decisive goal against Cagliari last night, but statistics from the game shows that he was far from the game’s MVP.

According to data from Whoscored.com, shows that Inter’s number 16 only had 2 good crosses out of 13, an average of 15%. The reason for this, on the other hand, could be that at the time of his crosses there were not many teammates in the area, but instead a lot of Cagliari players were there who could intercept the ball.

Inter’s Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij continues to grow in his new team and during last night’s clash against Cagliari he proved to be the most accurate player when it comes to passing the ball with his feet.

Again, data from Whoscored.com shows that Inter’s central defender had a 93% accuracy in his passes, the best percentage from any player and showing that there is more to De Vrij than his aerial game.
