Sandro Mazzola was one of the greatest footballers in history. Not only in the history of the Nerazzurri. He was Inter’s history: he joined the Club as a boy and never left it. A heavy burden was on his shoulders, the memory of a father who seemed invincible. And in his destiny were two legendary Nerazzurri who would effectively raise him, accompanying him on his journey through history.

Sandro Mazzola was the son of Valentino Mazzola, the former Italy international who died in the Superga air disaster, yet he spent his entire career playing exclusively for Inter Milan.

During his career, Mazzola won four Serie A titles with Inter Milan, and claimed consecutive European Cup titles in 1964 and 1965, emerging as an iconic figure of the Grande Inter era.

In addition, Mazzola also won the 1968 European Championship as a core player for the Italy national team, and later finished as runners-up at the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
