The 20 million euros that AC Milan paid to sign Theo Hernandez last summer seemed like a high amount for a player who'd shown very little in the months before in the way of performances.
The Frenchman's last two years haven't been good since his loan spell at Alaves prompted Los Blancos to come in for him.
After spending the 2017/18 season on the fringes at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Theo moved on loan to Real Sociedad for the following campaign.
His year in San Sebastian didn't go as well as he would've hoped and, at the age of 22, he left Spain for Italy.
Since arriving at the San Siro last summer, the left-back has started to demonstrate the ability that attracted Real Madrid's interest in the first place.
He's played more minutes than anyone else at Milan this season and has become a reference point down the left wing.
His talents were on show against Cagliari on Saturday as he came up with the assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first goal since returning to the Rossoneri.
On Wednesday, he netted Milan's third against SPAL in the Coppa Italia with a venomous strike from the edge of the area.
That was his fifth goal of the season, making him the club's joint top scorer with Krzysztof Piatek and the highest scoring Milan defender in their debut season since Kakha Kaladze in 2000/01.
Theo's current value of 25 million euros, according to Transfermarkt, is the highest of his career to date.

The pressure @ Madrid is no joke. If we don't take it easy on young players like Vinicius they may crumble and never reach they're true potential. As for Theo, that's a great bounce back in his young, developing career. Great that he's doing so well already @ Milan. Happy for him

No matter where he goes, just remember, he is also a striker indeed! He’s focused, fast, team player, and a great crosser!

getting play time without pressure is the best for players who don't know how to handle pressure..
