Toni Kroos has encouraged Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona and join Manchester City.
Understandably, as a Real Madrid player, the German would benefit from the Argentine departing LaLiga Santander.
"If one of those players no longer plays for the opposing team, one can imagine that we don't consider that necessarily a bad thing," Kroos said on the podcast 'Einfach mal Luppen'.
"Messi away from Barcelona means that Barcelona are missing a weapon.
"I don't think he will come to Real Madrid."
The 30-year-old noted that Messi's best option would be to reunite with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, while he also stated that the Barcelona captain is "one of the best players of all time" but is below Cristiano Ronaldo.

No hatred. I clearly understand how these players are bound by the club ethics. If he had played with Messi and not with Ronaldo, we would hear Messi is above Ronaldo.
