RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins is reporting that Lazio are lining up a move for Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris (36).
It is widely expected that the Frenchman will leave the London club this summer. Lazio’s interest in making a move happen is reciprocal. Lloris is keen to make the move, notably due to the club’s participation in the UEFA Champions League this season. After a disappointing campaign, the Spurs missed out on European competition altogether.
A deal is now getting closer, according to RMC Sport. Due to Lloris’ service to Tottenham over the years, the club are willing to allow the shot-stopper to leave on a free transfer as a sign of gratitude. Following Thibaut Courtois’ ACL injury, France’s most capped player was proposed to Real Madrid, but there are other players that feature higher up on the La Liga club’s list. Negotiations are ongoing with Lazio, therefore, and given Lloris’ willingness to see the deal happen, a positive conclusion is likely.

That’s great decision. You can’t be a legend without playing in Serie A
