Udinese director general Franco Collavino admits they'll wait until the summer before considering coach Andrea Sottil's future.
Sottil has made a positive impact in his first season in charge, though results tailed off after a superb start to the season.
Collavino told TMW: "There's a constant dialogue with him, continuous meetings.
"He's doing well, as I said earlier, and the contractual situation is also based on long-term planning. There are eight games to go, we want to finish the championship well and we'll talk in that moment. Because finishing the season well will give value to everyone and to the work done so far.
"Reflections and self-criticism are our daily bread and our job. We will continue to analyse the weaknesses and strengthen the strengths, as we always have done. We believe that the work done by the coach is a good job, but there are still many games left. Our goal is to get in the left column."
