Udinese are very close to securing a deal for Croatia international Alen Halilovic from Hamburger SV, claim Sportitalia.
The 22-year-old creative midfielder can play in a variety of wide roles too.
He is owned by Hamburger SV and spent this season on loan at Las Palmas with an option to buy.
However, both these clubs were recently relegated, so their chances of keeping him for next season are slim.
It’s reported Sampdoria are also interested, but Udinese are in advanced negotiations.
Halilovic started out at Dinamo Zagreb, then spent time at Barcelona and Sporting Gijon.
He has nine senior caps for Croatia and was their captain at Under-21 level.
