messi can't win all the time bro.... him looking at the world cup doesn't make me sad at all. because many at times he is the one lifting trophies whiles opponents who play against him bow down their heads in sorrow. It was his turn to feel the loss of loosing a trophy.

The saddest moment for me is when Ronaldo got injured in the Euro 2016 final. He tried as much to continue but it was impossible and he just broke down in tears[Cry] Seeing those tears is the only time I cried during a football match, but after going off the pitch he picked himself up tried so hard to inspire his shouting and giving directions on the touchline with the manager in the second half and for me that is greatest thing I ever seen Ronaldo do and through perseverance Portugal went on to win the game in extra time

how can people forget the injury of Eduardo da Silva? as his ankle almost broke it was indeed the horrible injury of the history.

when they left real madrid that was my saddest moment being a football fan !! i really miss each minute of their era in my life .... i wish god give me another chance to live and enjoy in that era again [Cry]

Won't vote cos there are many cases of sadness, even more instances of Sadness that aren't on the list which if we were to give rankings to would be an insult to those that lost their lives and played the beautiful game. I'm just puzzled as to how players losing finals were nominated to be on this list ahead of players who unfortunately passed away such as Tiote and Astori.......

This is the saddest moment, no soccer club owner ever went through this, he did what he promised his team's city and had more great dreams and even wanted to win the champions leaque, imagined right after watching his team play, he fell before them, looking at his outstsnding achievements, he was a true hero that had love for his people and will always rest in peace as his legacy will live forever.
