Jamie Vardy has revealed the advice he received from former Leicester and now Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca before completing his sensational move to Serie A side Cremonese.
Maresca, 45, led Leicester City and Vardy back to the promise land of the Premier League before leaving to join Chelsea last summer.
The 38-year-old ended his 13-year association with Leicester once his contract expired at the end of the 2024-25 season and has since joined Serie A side Cremonese.
He has since revealed he went to Maresca for advice regarding the move, who had nothing but praise for the club.
Vardy said: "There's only one of those I've been speaking to for the entire summer out of them (Maresca, Ranieri and Cambiasso), we still keep in touch, which is Enzo.
“I managed to have a good chat with him once we knew it was going to be a possibility, and he did nothing but the sign the praises of the club and Cremona as a city. His advice was to come here and that was it."
