Christian Vieri has claimed that new Roma boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
The 36-year-old is thought to want to leave Juventus during the summer transfer window, though his destination is not yet clear.
"Mourinho wants to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Roma," Vieri said on Bobo TV.
Former Real Madrid forward Antonio Cassano was part of the conversation, disagreeing strongly with Vieri.
"Ronaldo to Roma? That's nonsense," Cassano said.
"Mourinho didn't get on well with Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. How can you think he's going to go to Roma?
"I don't know if it's because they have the same agent, Jorge Mendes, or a Portuguese sporting director, but how can you think Cristiano's going to Roma?"
