Beckham hits 48 in Miami

The former player of Manchester United and Real Madrid turned 48 on Tuesday and has great family relationships but perhaps is experiencing one of his worst moments on a sporting level. His Inter Miami has not been able to succeed in the MLS, although they are on the back of an important victory at home against Columbus Crew, led by Ecuadorian Leonardo Campana.

Beckham has been so important to the United States that at AS USA we decided to reflect on the fortune of one of the richest former players in the world and who, together with his wife Victoria Beckham, may be one of the wealthiest couples.

Beckham’s fortune

During his last six seasons in MLS with LA Galaxy, David Beckham earned an estimated $255 million dollars, including salary, revenue sharing, endorsements, appearances and licences. However, after his retirement, the earnings continued.

In October 2021, Beckham signed a ten-year contract that pays him $21 million a year to be a tourism ambassador for Qatar, something that was heavily criticized by many of his supporters due to the country’s record on human rights, something that was overlooked by FIFA when awarding it the World Cup 2023.

According to the Celebrity Net Worth portal, one which, as the name suggests, focuses on the fortunes of celebrities, Beckham has a combined wealth with his wife and family of $450 million dollars, being the third on the list one of the richest soccer players in the world, just below Faiq Bolkiah and level with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The couple own a $4 million home in the south of France, as well as a mansion in fashionable Holland Park, west London, which they bought for $41 million dollars in 2013. In 2016, they bought a converted barn in the rural village of Great Tew in the Cotswolds, two hours from London for around $8 million.

For their stay in Miami, the couple owns a $24 million penthouse in the One Hundred Museum building, which was designed to reflect a seven-star hotel and features incredible amenities for their guests.
