Wolves and Burnley are weighing up bids for Scotland U17 captain Jamie Hamilton.

The 17-year-old defender has yet to make a first team appearance for his club Hamilton Academical but was on the bench as they faced Livingston in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Hamilton is an elegant, ball-playing centre back who has been compared in style to England international John Stones of Manchester City.

He has caught the attention of English scouts with his performances for Scotland U17s and as an influential figure for his club's U19s who made it through to the UEFA Youth League second round after beating Basel earlier this season.

Hamilton have high hopes for the centre back but are anticipating offers of around £800,000 and will find that sort of figure difficult to turn down.
