Chelsea have just over a week to complete any final business in the transfer market before the summer window slams shut
Chelsea still have four more players to sell following the departure of Hakim Ziyech. The 30-year-old winger had faced an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge for a while, and now he's finally embarked on a new challenge.
Ziyech has joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan, which includes an obligation to make the switch permanent. While the Morocco international enjoyed some memorable moments in a Blue shirt, he struggled to assert himself in the starting lineup under numerous managers.
PSG submitted an appeal to the LFP, the French football league governing body, but it was rejected and Ziyech saw out the remainder of the season on the bench at Chelsea. His departure marks the first of several exits which could follow in the coming days.
With the summer transfer window slamming shut in just over a week, the Blues are in a race against time to offload four more players at all costs – just as they did with Ziyech. So, with that being said, football.london have taken a look at who Chelsea are yet to sell...
Romelu Lukaku
Ahead of Chelsea's clash against West Ham, Pochettino revealed that the club and the player have agreed that a fresh start is best for both parties. According to the Evening Standard, Juventus have offered Chelsea £32million, plus £2m in add-ons, for Lukaku, but their proposal is conditional to the sale of Dusan Vlahovic.
The report adds that Al-Hilal have agreed a £40m fee with the Blues for the Belgian, but they could walk away from a deal after signing Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham.
Callum Hudson-Odoi
With Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku all at Pochettino's disposal on the wing, Hudson-Odoi seems surplus to requirements. To pile of the misery, Chelsea are said to be in the market for a new right-winger, who can also play as a number ten.
Marc Cucurella
Ben Chilwell is expected to continue as Chelsea's first-choice left-back, while Ian Maasten remains an exciting and versatile option for Pochettino off the bench. After Cucurella struggled to impress in his debut campaign, opportunities this season could be of the essence.
Malang Sarr
Malang Sarr is another player who's expected to be sold before the summer transfer window slams shut. The Frenchman played a bit-part role towards the end of Thomas Tuchel's tenure in west London, but he's now surplus to requirements – more so than ever following the arrival of Axel Disasi earlier this month.
