David Beckham's new Inter Miami team are lining up a shock move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

According to The Sun, Aguero has recently been sounded out by Beckham's new team and is not closed off to a move.

But the publication also adds that Aguero is also open to signing a new contract with City. The 31-year-old's current deal runs out in 2021.

Aguero scored two goals in City's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday to take his overall Premier League goal tally to 177, making him the highest scoring foreign player in the division's history.

He is still a long way off becoming the highest scorer ever though. Aguero's total of 177 is still 103 behind the all-time record belonging to Alan Shearer, on 260.

Inter Miami's first pre-season training camp started on Monday ahead of their first Major League Soccer game on March 1, against Los Angeles Football Club.

They then meet DC United at Audi Field before hosting their first ever match at the Inter Miami stadium in Fort Lauderdale against Beckham's former club, Los Angeles Galaxy.

City, meanwhile, resume their Premier League campaign on Tuesday night away to Sheffield United.

Saturday's draw against Palace saw current Premier League holders City fall 16 points behind runaway leaders Liverpool.
