FC Barcelona has already defined its main objective for the upcoming winter transfer window.
After a demanding run of matches, Hansi Flick welcomed the winter break but admitted the need to reinforce his squad, especially in central defense.
The long-term injury to Andreas Christensen, sidelined for around four months, has accelerated discussions with sporting director Deco, even as the club awaits the return of Ronald Araujo.
Limited by Financial Fair Play constraints, Barcelona must pursue affordable solutions. Several profiles remain under consideration, but Marc Guéhi stands out as Deco’s top priority. The Crystal Palace defender, whose contract expires next summer, can enter negotiations this winter despite his club’s reluctance to sell. With strong competition from major European clubs and defensive gaps to address, Barcelona views Guéhi as a strategic target for the months ahead.

I understand the financial situation and challenges of Fcb but to be very honest our recruitment methods under Deco is really questionable, for hansi flick he has done well so far achieving what he did last season and also doing well in the league by being on top despite our challenges but why are we conceding goals this season with reckless abandon? Kounde is a central defender, Eric Garcia is a central defender. Why gamble at a higher risk level when what we really need is a natural right fullback. Move Kounde to central to guide cubarsi because we have to be realistic cubarsi and Martin are way inexperienced to mount the defensive solitude needed for championship trophies not underestimating them but deco needs to leave seriously with this methodology. This is my opinion as a true Fcb fan or supporter.
