Barcelona announce the squad for first La Liga round: García and Rashford included; Szczesny and Lewandowski absent

Barcelona has announced the squad for the first round of La Liga. García and Rashford are included, while Szczęsny and Lewandowski are not.

Defenders: Balde, Araújo, Cubarsí, Christensen, Koundé, Eric García, Jofre

Midfielders: Gavi, Pedri, Fermín, Casadó, Olmo, De Jong, Guillermo, Toni Fernández

Forwards: Ferran, Yamal, Raphinha, Rashford

 

Today, the official La Liga website shows that both Joan García and Rashford have completed their registrations and are eligible to play in the first round of La Liga.

Szczęsny, who renewed his contract with Barcelona this summer, has not completed the registration yet and will miss the first round of La Liga. Lewandowski is absent due to injury.

On August 16th at 17:30 UTC, Barcelona will face Mallorca away in the first round of La Liga.
