Barcelona closely monitoring Virgili; his buyback clause worths €30 Million

According to the latest report from Diario Sport, 19 -year-old Mallorca winger Virgili is performing well and has shown good understanding in his combination play with Pablo Torre.

Barcelona still retains 40% of the player's future transfer fee and is closely monitoring his growth. If they repurchase him this summer, the cost is expected to be around 30 million euros.

19 -year-old Virgili(from Vilassar de Mar) is in a contradictory situation. He has been Mallorca's most groundbreaking player throughout the season, but he was not scoring at all until he was downgraded to a substitute that he finally scored his first La Liga goal. In addition, the goal was very spectacular: after Pablo Torre took a free kick, he scored with a volley.

This goal is significant for the winger, as there have been external demands for him to take bigger steps and breakthroughs on the offensive end. Virgili started the game on the bench and did not come on as a substitute until the 65th minute, but despite playing in an unfamiliar position, he immediately made an impact.

Demichelis' arrival completely changed his situation. The Argentine coach has transformed Mallorca's tactical system, and the team now uses a diamond 4-4-2 formation that no longer has wingers. When Demichelis took over the team, Virgili had just finished a two-match suspension and had also trained with the Spanish U21 national team during the last international break. This background makes the coach more inclined to choose other players as replacements.

Pablo Torre and Virgili' new situation under Demichelis

The biggest beneficiary perhaps also the player whose value has increased the most significantly in the team is Pablo Torre. The team's new tactical approach of cutting inside on offense has greatly played to the strengths of this attacking midfielder, and he has now become a key member of the team. Torre has become the ideal partner for the in-form Muriqi: the striker scored twice in three minutes against Rayo Vallecano and has now scored a total of 21 goals, only two goals behind Mbappé.

Virgilis played alongside Pablo Torre in the second half of the game, but the two had different roles: Virgilis played as the second striker alongside Muriqi, while the Cantabrian player continued to play the "10 " attacking midfielder role. Good news for Virgilis is that Lwumbo, who had previously been selected by Demichelis to partner with Muriqi, is injured. Another alternative player, Mateo Joseph, is also absent due to physical problems, so the young striker is expected to get a starting opportunity in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Barcelona is closely monitoring his development. The club holds 40% of his future transfer income, and if they recall him this summer, the cost would be around 30 million euros. It is worth mentioning that Barcelona is seeking to strengthen the left wing and is still pushing forward with the transfer of Rashford. The 30 million euro buyout option has not yet been finalized.

Barcelona's sports management is working hard to integrate all resources in the transfer market, and the team will also prioritize the introduction of a center forward and a left back. Julián Álvarez and Bastoni are the team's main targets. If Rashford ultimately fails to join, Virgili will be one of the main alternatives for the team's left wing, along with Víctor Muñoz.
