Spanish outfit Celta de Vigo have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian youngster Bernard Somuah Sarpong from Asante Kotoko following an impressive loan spell.

The 19 year old forward has been with the Spanish side for some time, gradually adapting to the demands of European football while sharpening his craft within the club’s development structure. His performances during that period convinced the club’s hierarchy to secure his services on a long term basis.

Sarpong will now continue his development with Canteira Celeste, the youth system of Celta, after putting pen to paper on a deal that runs until 2030. The extended contract signals strong belief in his potential as the club looks to nurture him into a future first team asset.

For Kotoko, the move represents another example of Ghanaian talent making strides abroad, while for Sarpong, it marks a significant step in what promises to be an exciting professional journey in Spain.
