Sport Mediaset is reporting Chelsea have decided to replace Maurizio Sarri with Frank Lampard this summer.
According to the broadcaster, Chelsea are keen to appoint a fan favourite after Sarri’s divisive reign, despite the Italian leading them to third place in the Premier League and two cup Finals.
Lampard would fit the bill, given he scored 211 goals in 648 games for the Blues, winning three English titles and a Champions League.
The former England midfielder ventured into management last summer with Derby County and has made an immediate impact, qualifying them for the EFL Championship playoffs.
Sarri, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A, where he could take over the reins at Roma, Milan or even Juventus.

Well if it would be Lempard replacing Sarri l would go for that but if it were another manager to come in and head Chelsea,l would say wo-wo-wo,think again about the positives Sarri has brought, but in this case Lempard is a perfect fit following his demonstration at Darby this season. He has shown that he knows what he is doing not that he is doing a trial and error with his management like Sarri did otherwise he would have won a trophy this season with ease had he played the players he finished the league playing that includes CHO. Lempard will with ease create the English backbone that is no longer there at Chelsea and restore the sense of belonging to the players the way it were during his playing days but still have top internationals from other nationalities playing like it was during his days. Not now under Sarri and the past coaches. Lempard can’t have Higuain and Morata leading the line when Tammy and Batshuai are scoring goals for fun elsewhere. Mount and some charges he took with him are top property now because of the trust he has on them that no foreign manager would give to the local lads. Those managers would bring their own equivalents to what we have here or below par players because those players would have been recommended by their agents who want commission from sales and would not be paid if there are no sales hence the local lads already at Chelsea are overlooked because there are no commissions on them and the expensive foreigners won’t be bought. In my opinion bring Lempard to fix the abnormalities taking place at Chelsea.

Nope, first of all Sarri has done what was required like him or hate him. Also he has far more experience as a manager at the top. I love Lamps but he ain't got nearly enough experience as a manager both tactically and mentally. Let him develop as a manager for the Rams then we can think of Lamps as a manager. Lamps would be like Ole right now. Well respected but that's it and sadly that's not enough for managing Chelsea. He would have his managerial career ruined before it starts. I dont want our legends to be remembered in a bad light... For now stick with Sarri and give him a full season to see what hes about.....
