According to Dutch media Voetbal International, 37-year-old Serbian midfielder Tadic will not return to the Eredivisie and will join Al Nasr Dubai, UAE.
Previously, Voetbal International had reported that NEC Nijmegen was close to signing the free agent, and the transfer was almost finalized, but the deal ultimately fell through.
According to Voetbal International, Tadic will sign a one-year contract with Al Nasr in Dubai, UAE. Al Nasr finished sixth in the UAE Pro League last season, and Tadic will reunite with his compatriot and coach Milojevic there.
NEC Nijmegen's technical director, Albers, previously told Voetbal International that due to the high financial threshold, the club was temporarily unable to sign Tadic. "Many clubs are interested in Dusan (Tadic). For us, he is not financially viable at the moment, but who knows, maybe that will change later in the transfer window. For now, I won't worry about it every day."
Twente had also inquired about him, but journalist Allan Karstenpoor estimated his annual salary to be around 5 million euros, a salary condition that Twente also found difficult to accept.
