Matteo Guendouzi has reportedly played his last game for Arsenal, with manager Mikel Arteta having already decided to sell the midfielder in the summer.
The Frenchman is currently on loan at Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga where he has featured prominently during the season.
However, his move to Germany came following two big bust ups with Arteta last year at Arsenal and there appears to be no way back for the 21-year-old.
According to Football Insider, Arteta is so keen to offload Guendouzi, the club have dropped their asking price to £25million - down £5million from pre-season.
Arteta had been keen to sell the midfielder last summer and although a move to Villarreal was in the pipeline a deal could not be arranged.
An issue this summer will be Guendouzi entering the final year of his contract and a post coronavirus transfer market which could make Arsenal's attempts to offload him difficult.
The report though adds that the Gunners are confident they will be able to find a buyer for Guendouzi.
Arteta took over the Arsenal hotseat in December and it took fewer than two months for him to have his first falling out with Guendouzi when the pair clashed at a Dubai training camp following an alleged row between the midfielder and Sokratis.
Although he remained within the first team, the tipping point came during a match at Brighton last June when he grabbed Seagulls striker Neal Maupay by the throat - enraging the Arsenal boss behind the scenes following their 2-1 defeat on the south coast.
While Guendouzi's talent and form while playing for Arsenal was rarely a concern, his discipline issues on and off the field have caused issues, and even his current manager at Hertha has admitted he has been tough to manage.
'It's like puberty for him, he's kind of a rebel. He has to work and learn like an animal.', Pal Dardai said back in January.
Having missed his first couple of games through illness after arriving in Germany, Guendouzi has since featured in all 18 matches the club have played in the Bundesliga.
Despite showing promising form at Hertha, the club are embroiled in a relegation fight in the Bundesliga, heading into the weekend just one place above the bottom three and level in points with Mainz and Arminia Bielefeld below them.

It will be fantastic business to get £20m for him, sent out on loan for bad attitude, picking fights, only to get there and picked another fight. Another one who thinks he's better than he actually is. Some people are comparing him to Gnabry, that one's attitude was impeccable, he just didn't get enough gametime, if he played 80 games like Guendouzi has done, he won't be away from the club... Sell him and his oversized ego!

Well, with all those curly hairs hanging over his face, it's obvious that Guendouzi can't see his future at Arsenal. 😬
