Germanijak says Inter chiefs welcomed counterparts from Hajduk Split last week to Milan for talks over Mlacic.
An agreement over the teen is already close to being struck.
Inter aim to sign Mlacic in January and leave him with Hajduk Split on-loan for the remainder of the season before he moves to Italy next summer.
Centre-back Mlacic, 18, has just been capped by Croatia at U21 level.
