Inter reject €50m bid for Francesco Pio Esposito and plan new contract offer

Inter reportedly rejected a €50 million offer for rising star Francesco Pio Esposito and are ready to reward the youngster with a new deal that would double his salary.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter turned down a €50 million offer for the 20-year-old as the club seek to retain the exciting youngster.

It’s understood that the Serie A side will open talks over a new deal despite the fact the only just signed a new one until 2030 in the spring.

Inter will offer to double his wages in order to ward off interest from Europe’s elite sides as he continues to enjoy a breakout season.

Esposito scored his first goal of the season after coming off the bench in Inter’s 2-0 Serie A win over Cagliari, and the netted in Italy’s 3-1 win over Estonia.
