Edon Zhegrova (26) had been in the sights of Olympique de Marseille, with last season’s runners-up looking to add to their attacking options, even before they announced last night that Jonathan Rowe (22) had been transfer-listed, following the fallout after losing to ten-man Stade Rennais in game week one.
Foot Mercato had reported that the club were in talks with Lille OSC for the Kosovan international, and a loan with a mandatory purchase option had been discussed. However, Les Phocéens look set to miss out on the winger, as per a report from Tuttosport.
The Italian outlet writes that Zhegrova has a contract agreement in place with the Serie A side, and that Juventus could secure his signature for around €18-20m. A discount on the €25m Lille president, Olivier Létang, had previously wanted. However, with Zhegrova already in the final year of his contract, Lille have reportedly softened their stance.
