Antoine Griezmann has been one of the best, most consistent forwards of his generation. Now 34 years old, he may be considering a move away from Atlético Madrid.

A leading figure in La Liga for more than a decade, Griezmann reportedly has an offer from one of Mexican soccer’s giants.

According to journalist Álex Silvestre, Griezmann is attracting strong interest from Monterrey in Liga MX. The report suggests that Griezmann would be made a central figure at Monterrey, and given a significant financial package.

Rayados de Monterrey want Griezmann for next season,” Silvestre claimed. “The offer and the project that they have offered is attractive for the Frenchman.”

His current contract with Atlético runs through the 2026/27 season, meaning any deal this year would require negotiation with the Spanish club. Griezmann has previously spoken openly about his desire to play in MLS but is yet to make the jump.

Atlético stars head to North America

If he were to make a move to either MLS or Liga MX, Griezmann would be one of a number of players to leave Atlético for North America.

Last year Rodrigo De Paul linked up with international teammate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, while Ángel Correa moved to Tigres UANL. Former Atlético midfielder Hector Herrera spent last season with Toluca but now looks to poised to return to MLS with Houston Dynamo.
