Liverpool have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola
Liverpool’s chances of signing Bradley Barcola may have just increased after Paris Saint-Germain completed another summer signing - with at least one more on the way.
The Anfield club have been heavily linked with signing the France international this summer as they look to strengthen the forward options available to new manager Andoni Iraola.
There have been frequent reports claiming to provide updates on Liverpool’s mission to sign Barcola, with some suggestions that the 23-year-old is open to a move to Merseyside.
The Liverpool Echo have reported that the Reds were set to open talks over a deal to sign Barcola from PSG last month, but since then, there has been nothing concrete suggesting a move to take the winger to Anfield is imminent.

A notable development has now emerged from PSG, with the reigning Champions League winners confirming the signing of Ferran Torres from Barcelona, who has completed a permanent transfer on a contract running through to the summer of 2031.
Consequently, fresh speculation is expected to intensify that a deal for Barcola could be moving closer to fruition, despite Torres' arrival seeing the Spain international claim the No. 9 shirt, previously worn by Goncalo Ramos prior to his departure this summer.
PSG have additionally secured the signing of Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco and appear to be on the verge of confirming a deal for Mika Godts from Ajax, developments which would only further increase rumours that Barcola could be on his way out of the Parc des Princes.
The announcement arrives during growing speculation surrounding Gakpo's future, with a report in Voetbal International claiming that the Netherlands international has reached an agreement on personal terms regarding a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Liverpool are already seeking to bolster their attacking options, so an exit for Gakpo would undoubtedly heighten the requirement for additions to be brought into the squad.
Barcola is understood to be priced by PSG at approximately £140million, which would demand a club-record outlay for Liverpool to afford, though it is improbable that the Reds will match that valuation.
Liverpool have also been connected with a potential move for Barcola's PSG colleague, Ibrahim Mbaye, with neither player featuring during the Super Cup victory against Aston Villa in midweek.

Liverpool don't need Barcola. What Liverpool need are good defenders and defensive Midfielders. Barcola does worth a €100M. Liverpool should learn from the wastage of last season. Isak and Wirtz combined should have been bought for £125M

The people who are in charge of transfer business are not doing the needful at all what exactly are they doing when there is clear vision of what we need still other clubs are working to upgrade In their best interests while we are here singing gospel no one should blame Andoni Iraola if the needful is not done to put the team in a very good shape ahead of the new season

Look like LFC won’t a chance for champions, keep changing players will not help only re building team again, but if is add players n keep old players than chances will b higher. Should keep d Snr players n add new young players in, so d new players can learn n adapt the mentality of LFC culture🤔
