Loris Karius has brought his difficult spell at Liverpool to an end by agreeing a two-year loan move to Besiktas according to RMC.
The Liverpool goalkeeper's prospects at Anfield became bleak this summer after Jurgen Klopp moved to sign Brazil No1 Alisson.
Karius, who made two huge errors in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, was left rattled by Klopp's decision to sign Alisson for £65million and revealed during last month's tour to the United States that he was unaware of his manager's intention.
Klopp has a strong relationship with Karius and wanted the 24-year-old, whom he signed from Mainz for £5million in the summer of 2016, to be a success in the Premier League.
But it was agreed after the pair spoke that it would be in Karius' best interest to secure a move before the European deadline, as Alisson is going to be in goal for all of Liverpool's big games this season, both at home and in Europe.
Last season Klopp experimented by having different keepers for different competitions – Simon Mignolet started the Premier League campaign, Karius was the man for Europe while Danny Ward played the sole League Cup game – but there will be no switching this year.
Karius has travelled with Liverpool's squad to London for Monday night's game against Crystal Palace and he could even be on the bench.
But the indications are that he will leave for Istanbul in the next 24 hours and Besiktas will have the option to turn the loan into permanent move.
Should Karius leave, the spin off will be that Mignolet – who had also been considering his future – will remain on Merseyside.
Klopp does not want to be without experienced back up for Becker, having sold Ward to Leicester for £12.5million earlier this summer.

Really want Karius to do well in Turkey!!! Hope he find some form and confidence. Honestly speaking the last thing Karius needs are Turkish fans. Those guys are going to be brutal if he spills shots and headers!

This is a very good thing because now he can get away from alissons shadow and those awful liverpool fans singing "you never walk alone" but still left one of their own players all by himself. Good luck Karius i wish you all the best in Turkey!
