According to a report from Foot Mercato, Manchester City were targeting a potential move for Bradley Barcola (22) during the summer transfer window in the eventuality that one of their attackers left before the window closed. Former Troyes attacker Savinho was linked with a potential move away from the Etihad Stadium.
PSG were determined to keep hold of the former Lyon attacker during the summer, and that wish came true. However, if City had been forthcoming in their interest in Barcola, that could have changed. The Premier League club had the France international attacker high on their shortlist to reinforce their frontline in the event of a departure, but no attackers left the club.
The 22-year-old also had interest from other clubs before the transfer window closed. Liverpool were linked with a move before they announced the British-record signing of Alexander Isak from Newcastle, and Bayern Munich approached Les Parisiens but saw their advances rebuffed.
