Moratti urges Inter to sign Kante

Former Inter President Massimo Moratti sees similarities between Antonio Conte and José Mourinho and believes the Nerazzurri should sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté.

“I am very happy, it was a special moment that I celebrated with my family,” the former Inter owner told Sky Sport Italia.

“I am glad Inter won the title again and I hope we can get more of the same in the future.”

Moratti believes the victory against Milan was the turning point of Inter’s campaign.

“I thought that winning that game would have made things easier, the Rossoneri were the only ones who could compete for the title this season.

“Antonio Conte has reached his target by protecting the team and by giving the players his same character. He’s been exceptional.

“I must say this Inter side is reminiscent of Trapattoni’s team. I see similarities with José Mourinho and Helenio Herrera as well. They are serious professionals with a winning mentality.”

Who should Inter sign to make a step forward in Europe?

“I think Kanté has everything to give even more strength to Inter. We signed Wesley Sneijder even if we already had a solid team, but we became exceptional with him.

“The same is true of Kanté, but, I am saying this as a fan, it will be hard to sign him.”
