Official news, Crystal Palace has once again signed Aston Villa forward Guessand on loan, with an option to buy.
Crystal Palace officially announced that Guessand has returned to the team on loan from Aston Villa for one season, with a purchase option.
The Ivorian international represented his national team in the World Cup this summer, making 2 appearances. He played for Crystal Palace on loan in the latter half of last season, making 14 appearances and scoring 2 goals.
One of the goals came during Crystal Palace's journey to win the Europa Conference League, and Guessand later came on as a substitute in the final in Leipzig, helping the team defeat Rayo Vallecano to win the championship.
The technically gifted forward, who grew up in Marseille, previously played for Lausanne Sport and Nantes before joining Nice in the 2024/25 season and having a breakthrough, scoring 12 goals in a single season and being named the club's Player of the Season.
After half a season at Aston Villa, Guessand joined Crystal Palace on loan. With his previous experience of participating in the Europa League with Villa and achieving success, he also became the first player in history to participate in and win two different European competition championships in the same season.
Guessand said: "I am very happy to be back here. I have already made some great memories here, but I think this is just the beginning. I hope to create more wonderful memories in the future."
