Jorginho has left Arsenal to join Brazilian side Flamengo on a free transfer.
The midfielder was due to depart the Gunners following the expiration of his contract on June 30, but the club "reached a mutual agreement to end his contract with immediate effect".
Jorginho has subsequently completed a move to Flamengo in time for their participation in the Club World Cup, which begins on June 14.
The Brazilian-born Italy international made 78 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions after joining from Chelsea in January 2023, helping them to three successive second-place finishes in the Premier League.
"Everyone at Arsenal Football Club would like to thank Jorgi for his contribution to the club, and we wish him and his family all the best for the future," a club statement read.
Jorginho won the Champions League, Club World Cup, Europa League and Super Cup during his time with Chelsea, while helping Italy win the delayed Euro 2020.
The 33-year-old was named the UEFA Men's Player of the Year in 2021, and finished third in that year's Ballon d'Or.
The midfielder could face the Blues at the Club World Cup on June 20.
