OFFICIAL: Lucas Vazquez joins Bayer Leverkusen as free agent

Bayer Leverkusen announce that they sign Lucas Vazquez with a contract until 2027.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen has signed Spanish right-back Lucas Vázquez. The 34-year-old joins on a free transfer; his contract with Real Madrid expired at the end of last season. Vázquez signed a contract with the Bundesliga club valid until June 30, 2027, and will wear the number 21 jersey for the Werkself.

The 1.73-meter-tall Vázquez was a key player for Real in the 2024/25 season, making 53 competitive appearances for Real, 32 of which were in La Liga and ten in the Champions League. The nine-time international has made a total of 402 competitive appearances for the world-class club, with whom he celebrated 23 titles during his career.
