Udinese announce that they sign Midtjylland's Adam Buksa with a contract until 2029.
Club statement:
Bringing experience, goals, and the impact of a true number nine, Adam Buksa is a new player of Udinese.
Born in Kraków on 12 July 1996, he has arrived on a permanent basis from Danish club Midtjylland and has signed a contract until 30 June 2029.
Centravanti, with a significant physical structure but endowed with good dynamism, has both back-to-the-goal play and finishing in his repertoire: he has scored double digits in both of the last two championships, in addition to having scored several goals in European competitions with club and national team.
Growing up in the youth teams of three different Kraków clubs – including the more famous Wisla – he tasted Italian football for the first time in 2013/14, wearing the jersey of Novara's Primavera. In the following season, he returned to his homeland, spending two years at Lechia Gdańsk and two at Zaglebie Lubin, but it was at Pogoń Szczecin, under the guidance of Kosta Runjaic, that he made a name for himself: he scored 22 goals in 52 appearances and received a call from the New England Revolution. He spent three seasons in MLS, shining in the second – in which his team finished atop the regular season – with 16 goals in 31 games. After scoring 7 goals in 10 matches in the first half of his third season in the USA, Lens brought him back to Europe. In 2023/24, he moved to Antalyaspor and scored 16 goals in 33 games. Since the summer of 2024, he has worn the jersey of Midtjylland, with whom he made his debut in European cups and ended the championship with 12 goals in 24 games. In the current season, he has already scored 2 goals in 6 games between the Danish Superliga and the Europa League qualifiers.
He is a Polish national: he has made 23 appearances and scored 7 goals since his debut in 2021. He played two matches, scoring one goal against the Netherlands at the last European Championship. He also has 12 appearances and 2 goals in Under 21, 8 appearances and 4 goals in Under 19, 8 appearances in Under 18, and 2 appearances in Under 17.
Benvenuto, Adam!
