Our Director of Football Devin Özek: Edson Alvarez is strong, intelligent, and has high-level international experience
Speaking after the signing ceremony at the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex in Chobani Stadium, our Director of Football Devin Özek said, “We have signed Edson Alvarez, captain of the Mexican national team. He is strong, intelligent, and has high-level international experience. We are very happy to welcome him to our club.”
Edson Alvarez: From the first moment I arrived here, I realized that Fenerbahçe is a much bigger club than I thought.
Edson Alvarez expressed his feelings, saying, “First of all, thank you. The interest from both the club and the fans over the past few days has been incredible. I knew Fenerbahçe was a huge club before coming here, but from the very first moment, I realized that Fenerbahçe is a much bigger club than I thought. I'm very happy to be here. I want to train with my team as soon as possible, meet our fans in our stadium, and play in front of them.”
Regarding the fans, Alvarez said, “I've heard a lot of good things about Fenerbahçe fans. I compare them to Mexicans. They're incredibly passionate and give everything for their team. As a Fenerbahçe player, I will show all my quality on the field and give my all.” He also shared the following message: “I'm wearing the Fenerbahçe jersey right now, and I will do everything for it. I want our fans to have no doubts.”

poor WHU, they're losing so many good players. They might go back to the Championship for recalibration.

You don’t have a proper midfield player other than Paqueta and you loan out Edson Alvarez? Not even an outright sale, some management are worse than United management under Ed Woodward

You should be loaning in, not out!

You scored 1 and conceded 8 goals in only two games, and you're loaning out a player?
