Real Betis coach, Quique Setién, has put the brakes on Paco Alcacer's loan to the club. According to SPORT's sources, the loan deal taking the striker to Betis was practically complete. Alcacer had given his 'OK' as had Barça, but it was Setien who pulled the plug at the last second.
Setien believes he needs to improve other areas of the squad first before he brings in another striker. Following the unexpected 3-0 defeat to Levante in their opening league match, the coach is looking at defensive reinforcements instead. This means the deal for Alcacer has been left to one side.
And while a move to Betis now appears less likely, it does increase the chance of the striker ending up at Borussia Dortmund. Alcacer prefers the option of joining Betis so he could remain in Spain. One thing which remains certain is that the former Valencia man will be leaving the club this month.

Good but not the quality required to perform at top level in clubs like Barcelona
he needs to be sharper as a striker and more creative so loaning him would help a lot
