Eighteen months after the departure of Kaka, Major League Soccer side Orlando City are close to capturing another European football star with the acquisition of Nani.
The former Manchester United winger is currently with Sporting CP and has seven goals and four assists in 18 appearances this season.
According to both Portuguese newspaper Record and ESPN, he is soon set to depart as he looks to enjoy an American adventure in Orlando.
Nani, who also played for Fenerbahce, Valencia and Lazio, will arrive in Florida on a free in time for the start of the 2019 MLS season on 2 March.

One thing a Nani signing does do is turn the heat up on James O’Connor immediately. He would have one of the best attacking tools in all of MLS to unleash on the other clubs in the league and failing to utilize him right would be managerial malpractice.
