Red Star Belgrade have completed the signing of highly rated teenage winger Douglas Owusu after the 19 year old successfully passed his medicals. The Serbian champions have tied the forward down to a three-year contract, with the transfer valued at €2.7 million, while his former club FK Radnik Surdulica will retain a 15 percent sell on clause.

Nicknamed “Baggio”, Owusu has rapidly built a reputation as one of the most exciting young wide players in the region. Blessed with blistering pace, he combines direct running with sharp vision, creativity in the final third and a natural eye for goal, qualities that made him a constant threat and a standout performer despite his age.

The deal represents a significant coup for Red Star, who moved decisively to beat off strong competition from across Europe and beyond. Feyenoord, Viktoria Plzeň, Aris, Samsunspor and Saudi side Al Ahli had all been monitoring the winger closely, but it is the Belgrade club that have won the race, banking on Owusu’s potential to grow into a key figure in their domestic and continental ambitions.
