This could be a sensible signing
It has been the perfect start to the season for Bayern Munich.
To kick things off, they beat VfB Stuttgart 2-1 to win the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup.
Then, they kicked off the Bundesliga season with a 6-0 win over RB Leipzig at home.
They were absolutely sublime throughout the 90 minutes.
Harry Kane scored a hat-trick. Michael Olise scored a brace. Luis Diaz scored once and set two up.
Yet, despite the perfect start on the pitch – fans remain frustrated with the lack of transfer activity.
Whilst the starting XI looked pretty good on Friday night, the bench was remarkably thin.
Two defenders, two teenagers and Alexsandar Pavlovic were the five substitutes against Leipzig.
It is clear that reinforcements are needed.
Well, there may still be at least one just yet.
According to Christian Falk and Tobi Altschaffl, Bayern have agreed personal terms with Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.
Now, they must agree a deal with Chelsea. The Bavarians want a loan deal, as per the report.
For a lot of the window, it looked like Christopher Nkunku was the unwanted Chelsea forward they wanted.
But now attention seems to have turned to Jackson as they try and bolster their attacking depth.
It remains to be seen whether or not Chelsea will sanction a loan deal for the striker.
If they don’t, things could hit a quick dead end – with Max Eberl saying Bayern are only looking for loan deals during this window.
Which would be a shame for Bayern, as Jackson would feel a smart addition, especially on loan.
When you need depth, having a player who can cover different positions is very useful.
He could also play alongside Harry Kane, as well as providing depth.
The Bundesliga winter break will cover most of AFCON, so there isn’t even that to hugely worry about either.
