Romano: Rashford sends positive signals to Man United but could still leave for the right offer

On July 1st, Romano said in his video that Barcola's contract extension negotiations remain unresolved, and although Rashford wants to stay with Man United, he could still leave if a suitable offer arrives.

Discussing the winger market, Romano stated that Barcola is not "definitely leaving" this summer. He revealed that Barcola's contract extension talks have stalled for some time, with Liverpool having attempted to sign him last summer before PSG rejected the approach. Barcola remains a top target for Liverpool, and Arsenal is also interested, though Arsenal's primary focus remains Morgan Rogers. Romano also noted that Aston Villa is asking £130 million for Rogers, while Arsenal is exploring alternative structures and negotiation approaches to reach a deal. Chelsea is also monitoring Rogers.

On Rashford, Romano said he has sent encouraging signals to Man United, suggesting he is open to staying and taking part in pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign. Rashford's agent held a positive meeting with Man United two days ago. However, Romano emphasized that Rashford could still leave if the right offer materializes this summer.

Regarding Chelsea, Romano said that following Alonso's official appointment, the club has begun its recruitment work. He noted that Chelsea is very interested in Rayo Vallecano left wing-back Álvaro García, and official contact has been established between the clubs. The player is also keen to join Chelsea and work under Alonso. Romano indicated that Chelsea is optimistic about completing the transfer.
