According to Sky Sports, Manchester United considered signing left-back Ait-Nouri on transfer deadline day to strengthen their left-back position.
However, the deal ultimately fell through due to Manchester City's demand for a mandatory buy-out clause in the loan agreement.
Sky Sports understands that before the transfer window closed, Manchester United learned that Ait-Nouri might be available and were offered the opportunity to sign him.
However, when Manchester United discussed the deal with Manchester City that afternoon, they were informed that the transfer would not proceed unless a mandatory buy-out clause was included in a season-long loan agreement.
Manchester United had no intention of permanently signing Ait-Nouri, as the club's focus is on pursuing long-term transfer targets next summer. It now seems unlikely that Manchester United will sign another left-back, meaning Luke Shaw will be the only senior first-team left-back until at least January of next year.

Jst a different year but the samye old Utd that Ole Gunnar solskjer coached during his time. Since Sir Alex Ferguson departed, I've never seen Utd do anything sensible during the transfer window. Even selling our unwanted players it's not that easy at all. Unless they're sold at cheaper prices that's when they are bought. And right now buying players isn't my problem but my problem is our failure to get ride of unwanted players at a reasonable price. About how we buy am very okay with that, our transfers has been spectacular since Jim became a co-owner of the club. Nowadays we don't rush buying players, we take our time and then we get the right ones. This strategy of buying has brought; Mbeumo, Cunha, Lemmens, Dorgu, Yoro, Heaven, and now it has brought Andrey Santos, Tielemans and Baleba. It's jst unfortunate that we missed out on Lewis Hall, but it like we'll be in for him during the January window or in the summer. Nevertheless anyway, am very satisfied with the squad we have. Dorgu and Amas they'll be rotating with Luke Shaw. Even Nours Mazaroui can play there. Joy comes in the morning, support Utd and be happy!

I'm wishing them a relegation. They don't want to learn. What else can one say about this club?

Why united can’t find single left back for the replacement of Luke Shaw, the problem for United is that they were rushing at the end of the window close!
